In order to use the MONILINK™ service you must be over 12 years old and accept MONILINK™ Limited's Terms and Conditions and Software Licence.
You will be asked a marketing question about how MONILINK™ Limited can use your personal information.
- That it is OK for MONILINK™ Limited to use your personal data to provide you with service updates.
MONILINK™ Limited provide the MONILINK™ service on behalf of your bank.
You should also read our Privacy Policy to make sure you understand how we use and protect your personal data.
Enter the mobile phone number of the phone that you wish to use with the service.
We will then send you a text message - we use this text message to check that your mobile phone and your mobile phone network are compatible with the service.
This message should arrive in the Message Inbox or Web Services Inbox on your mobile phone within 60 seconds of your request.
If you have received the text message but cannot find it on your mobile phone then select Mobile Phone Help for assistance.
When you open this message, your mobile phone will connect to the mobile network and your Handset Verification Code will be displayed. This is a unique number that allows us to verify that the phone is in your possession.

If you are sure that your Handset Verification Code has NOT arrived, then start the registration process again from the beginning.
The Handset Verification Code is a number that allows us to verify that the phone is in your possession. This process stops anyone else from registering with your mobile phone number.

If you enter the Handset Verification Code incorrectly more than three times, or misplace it, then you will have to start the registration process again from the beginning.
We use your debit card in order to access your account details for banking services, such as balance enquiries and mini statements. This is just like using your card in a cash machine or ATM machine.
You will need to add at least one card in order to use the service.
You will need to enter the requested information from your card and the card holder's address. This must be the address that is registered with your bank for that card. You will also be asked for a nickname for the card, e.g. Joint Account. This nickname is used to refer to that card within the service.
When you have entered all the card details you will be asked to confirm them. Once you are happy that all the details are correct then you can either add another card or continue on to download the service.
You can add up to 10 cards from banks that support our service. Once you have entered all the cards you want to use then we can start downloading the service onto your mobile phone.
Note: you don't have to enter all your cards now, once you have the service on your mobile phone you can add cards at anytime directly from your mobile phone.

We will send a second text message to your mobile phone. This text message is used download the service onto your mobile phone.
When you open the message, your mobile phone will connect to your mobile phone network. You will then be prompted to download the service by following the instructions on your mobile phone. You may be charged by your mobile network operator at their standard data rate for the download of the service.

If you need to re-request the download of the service, then text 'bank' to 82428. We will then resend the download text message to your mobile phone.

We will now validate all of your details. Once we have validated your details we will send you a letter containing a Card Activation Number. You should receive this letter within three working days of completing your registration.
The Card Activation Number is a one-off password that is used to activate your cards for use with our service.
To enter the Card Activation Number you will need to:
- Start the service.
- Enter your Passcode (see step 9).
- Select the card.
The letter will also include further advice about how to use the service.

If you don't receive the letter within seven days then you can request a new Card Activation Number.
If we cannot successfully validate your details with your bank then you will receive a text message within one working day of your registration. This will normally be because the details that you have entered do not match those held by your bank, for example the address is different. To use this card with the service you will need to add the card again.
Open the service by selecting it from your mobile phone application or games menu.
When you first use the service it will run a one-off routine to set-up a secure connection. This will take 60 seconds and produces a unique code which will be used to ensure all future connections are completely secure.
After completing the one-off security routine your mobile phone will connect to the service (this may take a couple of seconds).

If your mobile phone fails to complete the security routine successfully then you will need to delete the service from your mobile phone and download it again (see the Mobile Phone Help).

When you first use the service you will need to select a passcode.
The passcode is your personal number which is used to access the service. You MUST keep this number secret at all times.
You will need to use the passcode every time you want to use the service.
The passcode should be:
- A number between 5 and 8 digits long.
- Something that is difficult to guess.
- Secret to you.
The passcode cannot be:
- A series of ascending digits e.g. 12345.
- A series of descending digits e.g. 54321.
- Have a single digit make up more than half of the passcode e.g. 88823.
We recommend that you do not use obvious dates, such as your date of birth, as these are easy to guess.
The list of cards that you have added will now be displayed on your mobile phone. All cards need to be 'activated' before they can be used with the service.
Any card that has not been activated will be marked with an asterisk (*).
Select the card that you wish to activate from the list.
Select the 'Activate Card' option and enter the Card Activation Number contained in the letter. All cards listed on the letter will be activated when the Card Activation Number is entered.
You are now able to use the service with these cards.
You can exit from the application by selecting Exit. The application will exit automatically if unused for more than two minutes.
Additional Information
If you don't receive this letter within seven days then you can request a new Card Activation Number.
For security reasons if you enter the Card Activation Number incorrectly five times then we will delete all cards associated with that Card Activation Number. If this happens then you will need to add the cards again if you want to use them with the service.
If you added cards from more than one bank, you will receive a different Card Activation Number from each bank.
